The arrival of the KAWS x Sacai x Nike Blazer Low Purple has been met with equal parts excitement and intrigue, but the fanfare isn’t really all that surprising. Nike has become almost formulaic in its approach to collaborations with widely positive results. Loaning out some of the Beaverton brand's most high profile silhouettes to collaborators around the world is by far a new idea, but the diversity of aesthetics that can be achieved from the same source material is fundamentally what makes it work so well. This time, Nike has decided to double dip its Nike Blazer Low to great effect. Picking the brains of fashion icon Chitose Abe of luxury fashion brand Sacai and renowned pop artist KAWS. The end result sees a colour palette of hot pink, purple and a turquoise-ish aquamarine take centre stage across the leather and suede elements pleasingly overlaid almost collage-esq, supported by a cream midsole.
