Ever since Virgil Abloh started collaborating with Nike in August 2017, each and every silhouette to be given the Off-White treatment has been hot property for any trainer enthusiast. The Air Max 97 Menta Off White collaboration is no different. Released in November 2018 Virgil builds on what he managed to achieve with the triple black and triple white variants with another modern interpretation of a much-loved colourway of Off White 97 Menta. The ‘Menta' is a space-age ‘Wolf Grey', and although most of our contemporaries may be more familiar with the latter, the ‘Menta' is very much forging a path into the future. Reworking the iconic model that was revived last year so excellently with the Nike Air Max 97 Off White, the tonal grey upper with iridescent Nike ‘Swoosh' are in beautiful contrast, while still staying true to a template which has gained such popularity in recent years. The Off-White x Air Max 97 Menta is genuinely taking us from air travel to space travel into 2019, and at the moment there really seems like there is no ceiling on where Virgil and Off-White can take us next, continually keeping our ears perked for every release.
